LG CU400 is a 3G capable(850/1900 MHz), quad-band phone, with a clamshell design.

While the quad-band GSM will work worldwide, its 3G will work in the US only. The handheld’s internal LCD has a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels and 65k colors, while the external display is monochrome with a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels. Measuring 85 mm x 48mm x 23 mm and weighing only 93 grams, LG CU400 features an integrated VGA camera with 4x digital zoom that can capture QVGA video, a variety of multimedia players as well as Bluetooth 1.2, mobile e-mail, instant messaging and Push to Talk. The following Bluetooth profiles are supported: headset, hands-free, dial-up networking, general access, serial port, generic object exchange, object push and file transfer. LG claims a standby time of up to 12 days and 12 hours and a talk time of 5 hours.

The price for this handheld is not yet known, but will probably be announced soon.

LG C280 CDMA Phone with a 3 MP Camera

The LG C280 is one of the few CDMA cell phones that are boasting a 3 megapixel digital camera. The reason why LG has decided to bring a higher quality CDMA remains unknown to me, but this will surely be another reason for one to buy it and enjoy the higher quality snapshots this device will take.

The C280 has a quite reasonable size, measuring only 87.5×44x23 mm and will offer its future users a dedicated music player to enjoy all their favorite songs while on-the-go, a bundle charger and high quality headphones, features that give us a hint of a possible multimedia niche of the mobile market, that this handset is going to be targeted to.

Info about the release date or the store price of the C280 is not available yet

LG Chocolate in Green and Pink

Verizon recently released green and red versions of the LG Chocolate. These two new colorful versions have been expected since last month, and obviously have the same features as their black and their white brothers. Could it be possible that Verizon is trying to attract a younger more dynamic customer for this phone? Or was there need for some brightness and color in a world of black/blue/gray handsets? Whichever is true, the LG Chocolate is fully-equipped with all features Verizon customers would require, such as V CAST and V CAST Music, a 1.3 megapixel camera, speakerphone, Bluetooth and a microSD card slot that supports the new 2 GB Sandisk cards, enough to fulfill any MP3 collector’s dream.

In case you insist on having a very colorful, easy-to-spot mobile phone, LG Chocolate in Mint and Cherry can be bought for the same price as the black and the white versions, $129 after a two-year commitment and on-line discount.

Sprint will get for their customers the entry-level mobile phone from LG, named LX-150, a handset that will fit in quite nicely on the same shelf with the other device launched by the American carrier to accommodate the taste for bargains of their budget-oriented customers.

If one thinks first about the absolute necessary features that a cell phone should have, one will pretty much end up with the image of the device we’re talking about here, so this is a good choice made by Sprint that, in the case of the LX-150, will probably take a good part of the cheapo-mobile market.

The phone will offer nothing more than a basic set of features and the star of the list is the dedicated messaging text key that, in an ideal world, will make you become a text messaging king of some sort. The other ones that deserve to be mentioned here are the wireless Bluetooth connectivity, the internal 128×160 262k colors display and the external 96×94 monochrome one, all wrapped up nicely in a plastic case with a speakerphone dressing to go along easier.
